Anti-repression events coming up in June

Three events are coming up in June for those interested in the struggle against state repression in Tucson, in Arizona, and around the world. We also continue our regular prisoner letter writing nights on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month, 7 PM at Casa Mariposa, 127 N. Palomas Ave. The next one is Monday June 2.

Saturday June 7: Benefit Party for the Rainbow Defense Fund! Enjoy Brazilian food, dancing, a keg of kombucha, and great company while supporting Fluxx’s campaign to stay open and raising funds to pay bonds to get LGBTQ folks OUT of immigration detention!  Saturday, June 7th at 9:00pm.  $5-10 sliding scale donation.  At Fluxx Studios, the first and only queer art space in Tucson, 414 E 9th St (9th St and 4th Ave). Wednesday June 11: Tucson ABC is hosting an event to participate in the International Day of Solidarity with Marie Mason, Eric McDavid and All Long-term Anarchist Prisoners. Come celebrate this day as we learn about the struggles of these prisoners and ways to support them. We will also be hosting speakers on local Arizona Radical Environmental issues, past-to-present, Indigenous Solidarity, local Anti-Prison organizing as well as others. 6 PM @ Global Justice Center 225 E. 26th St, South Tucson. Friday June 13: Tucson ABC is hosting a pie party fundraiser for the Tucson Protection Network Coalition. The Protection Network Action Fund is a community based network that supports grassroots organizing for immigrant rights in Tucson by providing financial support to members and associates of immigrant led organizations who are detained and faced with deportation. 7 PM @ 2448 N Estrella Ave. Learn more about the Protection Network at
